Maggi Tinsley

I've been visiting Virginia's state parks for several years as my family and I continue our goal of experiencing each of them, so I'm excited to be writing about the parks as a new member of the Department of Conservation and Recreation's Public Communications and Marketing Office.

I am a North Carolina native, but now I have lived in Richmond for more than half my life, telling the stories of a number of local cultural attractions and educational institutions. I believe our natural resources are a bit of both, and I look forward to learning and sharing their stories with you.
